1965 Seeburg DDS1 Speaker
These have become rare with only
a worn out one coming up for sale every so often.
Cream of the remaining DDS1 crop.
Made in the Chicago, IL area
by the great Seeburg Company in the mid 60s
An excellent decor piece for Art Deco
themed home basements, wine tasting room,
restaurant, or any establishment
wanting to bring the '60-'70s nostalgia back.
A center Seeburg DDS1 makes a great large HDTV stand.
These are probably about 32" high,
maybe 16" wide and 16" deep.
This was removed from a jukebox vending
machine company that was moving.
The speaker is in excellent shape
and has no cracks and the gold paint is in excellent shape.
The case is made of heavy duty MDF
type material with a wood like formica covering.
Nearly indestructable. Won't get ruined by people
leaving drinks on them nor is it easily scratched.
These were designed to be used in public places.
Can be used horizontally or vertically.
The front has a gold mesh grille and looks excellent.
If you wanted to remove it to repaint or
change the color, they remove easily.
The grill is removed by unscrewing a few bolts from the inside. Repainting them is easy.
